Acting world champion Nikita Kryukov, representing Yakutia, in an interview for the Match-TV Channel admitted that he had completely recovered from injury. His immediate goal is to secure a berth at the 2018 Olympic Games.

"I healed an injury that did not give me a chance for decent skiing back in the season of 2017. This is the first thing I worked on. I like my current condition, and I am satisfied with my summer training, now I will wait for the "winter fruits," told Olympic champion Nikita Kryukov.

Before the Olympics in Pyeongchang there are only five months left, during this time the Yakut athlete should pass qualifying competitions. "The only thing is to be in top form. The first goal is to secure a berth at the Olympics, and the main goal is to win the Games in South Korea. With cool head I will go forward like a tank. Now I would say to myself in the future: "Die on the skiing run, but gain this victory and return with a gold medal,” concluded the world champion.

Three-time world champion has been standing for the Republic of Sakha since 2012. The distinguished skier is in the list of athletes of Yakutia, who are included in the Olympic program for this year.
