Midfielder Edgar Prib, a citizen of Germany who was born in the Russian city of Neryungri (Yakutia), is appointed new captain of Hannover, achieved the first Bundesliga following the results of last season, according to the website of the German club.
"I stressed this more than once: after four years in Hannover I fully identify myself with this club. The captain's armband is a great honor for me. Of course, it is also a great responsibility," said Prib.
The 27-year-old midfielder moved with his parents from Russia to Germany at the age of two, to the city of Fürth. He used to go to the Greuther Furth club, and transferred to Hannover Club in the summer of 2013 for approximately € 2.5 million.
