42 doctors received relocation expenses in the amount of 1 million rubles each, who were hired in 2014-2016 in the Arctic and northern regions of Yakutia under the "Zemsky Doctor" program, the press service of the head and government of the republic reports.
The press service of the head and government of the region clarified that the results of the program for 2017 will be announced next year.
"For 2014 - 2016 under the "Zemsky doctor" program 42 physicians received 1 million rubles, who worked in 11 arctic regions. According to the "Zemsky medical assistant" program in 2015-2016, 700 thousand rubles are allocated for each of 16 specialists of secondary medical personnel who are employed in 6 out of 13 arctic regions," the report says.
It is reported that in 2014-2016 the number of medical workers per 10 thousand people increased by 6.7%.
The report notes that young doctors and teachers who have moved to the North through experts attraction programs rely on social benefits for housing or construction of residential buildings. In 2014-2016, 206 young families from the northern and arctic regions of the republic improved their living conditions. In addition, 72 residential buildings with a total area of 5,405 square meters are built for young families and specialists in 11 arctic regions, the report said.
In the republic there is Development Program for 2015-2020, aimed at attracting young people to work in the Arctic. According to the government, since 2015, 375 young professionals have been attracted to the north of Yakutia. In 2018, it is planned to attract 175 people, and in 2019 - 200.
