The Information Center of the Government of Moscow hosted a press conference to discuss the development of cooperation between Moscow and the regions of Russia. It was about the Days of Moscow in the regions and response events of the Russian subjects. The Russian capital authorities signed cooperation agreements with 78 regions.
The Days of Moscow in Yakutia were held in the summer of 2016, and at the end of this year Moscow will host the Days of the Republic. In 2017, in addition to Yakutia, the Leningrad, Astrakhan, Saratov and Irkutsk Oblasts will present their programs in the capital.
The most ambitious of all the announced events will be the events in Moscow dedicated to the culture of Yakutia. As Permanent Representative of Yakutia Yuri Kupriyanov noted, this year the republic celebrates 385 years from the date of joining the Russian state, the 95th anniversary of the formation of the YaSSR. The Days of Yakutia will be dedicated to these landmark dates. They will also be associated with the history of Orthodoxy in the Far North - the play "Saint Innocent" will be staged, a divine service will be held in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.
"Yakutia has been coming to Moscow since 1957. This year the Days of the Republic will be called The Heat of Permafrost. We will bring diamonds, furs, mammoth bones, ecologically clean fish, we will present tourist routes, - Yuri Kupriyanov said. - In 2012, more than ten thousand Muscovites visited the event. This time we hope to increase this figure." A large-scale multi-day exhibition dedicated to Yakutia will be held in Krasnaya Presnya in mid-December. Concerts of masters of arts will take place at Moscow's best venues, the business part of the Days promises to be very busy.
Vitaly Suchkov, Head of the Department for National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow, noted the importance of holding such events.
Famous People's Artist, co-Chairman of "The Immortal Regiment" Action Vasily Lanovoy told that his solo performance "Thank you for loyalty, descendants!" is the cultural component of the movement.
Yuri Kupriyanov noted the high importance of the patriotic movement and invited Vasily Lanovoy to become an honorary guest of the Days of Yakutia in Moscow.
