On April 25, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in St. Petersburg celebrated the National Constitution Day
The festive occasion was visited by Yuri Kravtsov, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) under the President of the Russian Federation, who congratulated Consul General Andrzej Hodkiewicz on the most important state holiday of Poland. Yuri Kravtsov stressed that "the exiled Poles made a significant contribution to the research of Yakutia and culture of its peoples."
Yakutia and Poland have many historical materials and documents of mutual interest. The parties agreed to discuss these and other issues in October 2018 at a joint round table in St. Petersburg dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of linguist Edward Pekarsky and ethnographer Wacław Sieroszewski, with the participation of domestic researchers and representatives of Polish scientific and educational and public institutions.
