The Far East has issued over 7,000 electronic visas

Over 7,000 electronic visas were issued to citizens of 18 countries to visit Vladivostok through the free port. The simplified visa regime was used by almost 4.7 thousand foreigners from 14 countries, the press service of the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East reported.

Most of all, the citizens of China arrived on an electronic visa to Vladivostok - 2949 people. Japan ranks second. 1586 people came on an electronic visa. Citizens of another 12 countries also used an electronic visa.

Now, citizens of 18 countries can apply for an electronic visa on a specialized website. This should be done 4 (four) days before the proposed entry. An electronic visa is issued free of charge.

In December, the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East developed and submitted to the government a draft law on the entry of foreign nationals on an e-visa through all international airports of the Far East. Then foreigners will also be able to come to Yakutia on an e-visa.
