Professors of the South Korean Hankuk University visited the Technical Institute (branch) of the North-Eastern Federal University within the framework of the complex scientific research expedition ‘Lena’. During the meeting, the parties agreed on cooperation between the institutions of Seoul and Neryungri, the NEFU Press Service reports.
Management of the NEFU branch in Neryungri and representatives of Hankuk University discussed issues of joint cultural and scientific programs. "After negotiations we came to the conclusion that there should be an exchange of students. On the basis of cultural and creative exchange, we can send our students and invite students from Korea to get acquainted with the traditions and culture of our republics and to establish first contacts. Then we will consider joint educational programs - exchange of students and teachers," said Director of the Institute Sergei Popov.
The Neryungri branch of the federal university hosts a scientific-practical conference every year. This year it will be attended by representatives of the Institute of Russian Studies of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. "In the future, we agreed to sign an agreement on cooperation between our organizations. We hope that all plans will soon be implemented," said the head of the NEFU Technical Institute (branch).
During the visit, the delegation from South Korea met with local authorities, visited industrial enterprises of the city, got acquainted with the history of the branch of the Maksim Ammosov University.
