The resident of 'Kangalassy' Advanced Development Zone to build a unique ground for testing the quality of automobile tires

The project worth 58.8 million rubles is realized by the 'NEFU Testing Ground' under the agreement with the JSC Corporation for the Development of the Far East. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the third quarter of 2019 and will create 32 new jobs.

The testing ground will consist of several automobile routes with a length of 80 to 1842 meters and a width of 5 to 70 meters with various types of road surfaces, slopes and turns. Testing of tires under different conditions will allow to evaluate their influence on safety of driving, comfort in movement and operational parameters of vehicles in the most realistic conditions of extreme cold.

"World and domestic producers of tires are interested in the services of the testing ground that we are creating. Since 2012, at the small track of the Road Department of the North-Eastern Federal University, we have already begun to test the passenger tires. The Japanese tire manufacturer is going to test tires for trucks on new tracks. Russian defense enterprises also show interest in the project, intending to test all-terrain vehicles," said Ivan Noev, director of the NEFU Testing Ground.

The resident also noted that at present foreign competitors leave the market for these services because of global warming. Against the backdrop of these processes, the scientific and test ground located in the permafrost zone with arctic climate and natural snow will be in high demand.

The Russian Far East is the leader by the end of 2017 for the growth of direct investments in the economy of the district, said the Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East, Aleksandr Galushka.

"The macro-region as a whole showed an increase in investment by more than 17 percent in 2017, which was 117.1 percent, when the average for Russia was 104.4 percent. The best indicator in the country is in the Far East. At the same time, out of 17 percent of growth, more than half was made by the residents of the Zones of Advanced Development and the Free Port, including foreign ones,” stressed the head of the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East.

Denis Tikhonov, General Director of JSC Corporation for Development of the Far East, said earlier that the successful implementation of all the announced projects is important, regardless of the sector of the economy, industry or investment: "Any resident of the Zones of Advanced Development and the Free Port of Vladivostok has the right to count on equal support and backing from the Corporation."

Since the adoption of the federal law "On Zones of Advanced Social and Economic Development," the total number of investors who received the status of residents of 18 Far Eastern Zones of Advanced Social and Economic Development has reached 244. The amount of the announced investments is over 2.2 trillion rubles. The implementation of projects will create more than 42 thousand new jobs.
