The number of passengers carried exceeded 446.5 thousand, which is 5% more than a year earlier. The average occupancy rate of flights increased by almost 4 percentage points. - from 78.4% to 82.2%. The increase in passenger traffic is due to the expansion of the geography of flights.
In total, last year the airline carried out 2.517 flights. The number of flights of the central timetable has slightly decreased compared to the same period in 2016 (-4% up to 1.965), while the number of chartered flights, by contrast, increased by 10% - to 552, the average occupancy rate was close to 100%. The physical flight hours for all types of aircraft increased by 5% to 28.2 thousand hours.
Resort cities - Anapa, Gelendzhik, Simferopol, Sochi - have become the most popular destinations in 2017. Moscow and Novosibirsk are also among the most popular destinations.
The total number of passengers carried by the end of the year increased by 5% - from 425.4 thousand to 446.5 thousand people. The maximum load was observed in the summer months: July and August.
"Last year the company opened new routes in the summer season, which enjoyed great popularity: Kemerovo - Simferopol and Kemerovo - Sochi. In addition, we have significantly expanded the geography of flights on charter routes, performed by order of various companies. In many respects, thanks to this, the average occupancy rate of flights also increased,” said General Director of ALROSA Airlines Andrei Gulov.
