The head of republic Egor Borisov has declared 2018 the Year of promoting employment. Currently, a number of pilot projects are planned to be implemented in the region and more than five thousand new jobs will be created.
"In the new year, according to forecasts, we will create more than five thousand new jobs," said Deputy Chairman of the Government of Yakutia Aleksei Dyachkovsky.
According to the head of the State Committee for the Employment of Population Stepan Moskvitin, serious work is to be done with the enterprises to provide jobs to the local population and short-term training on demanded professions mainly for the villagers. By 2027, it will be necessary to train 113 thousand specialists, 71% of them will be professionals with secondary special education.
In total, in 2018, the authorities intend to implement seven projects that will help increase the income of the population. It's not just about creating permanent jobs, but also about attracting people to shift work at diamond and gold mining enterprises.
According to official data, unemployment in Yakutia is at the level of 6.9% of the number employed in the economy of the region (a total of 465 thousand people), which on average exceeds the parameters of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Russian Federation.
