Yakutia at the Eastern Economic Forum’2017

75174The exhibition "Street of the Far East" is open September 5-10 within the framework of EEF-2017 on the University Embankment in Vladivostok. September 5 was the starting day of the work of the delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), led by Egor Borisov at this large-scale economic forum, the press service of the head and government of the republic reports.

"Yakutia is diamonds and permafrost, but warm hearts of people living here pierce any snow and ice floe for a green sprout. It's all because Yakutia is the Far East," these lines sounded in honor of the northern republic.


"For the third time we hold a forum in Primorye and once again we are opening the Street of the Far East. We invented it because the Far East is large; its area is 6 million square km. These are nine subjects of the Russian Federation. We want to show traditions and culture, to say that in every constituent entity of the Russian Far East there live kind, talented and hard-working people. We want to show that we love the Far East,” outlined Deputy Prime Minister - Russian Presidential Envoy in the Far Eastern Federal District and Chairman of the Eastern Economic Forum organizing committee, Yuri Trutnev.


As reported by TASS, one of the most spectacular moments of the opening ceremony was the demonstration flights of Su-35S fighters over the Ajax Bay.


The exposition of Yakutia is decorated in colors of the Yakut winter and cold, the main pavilion is made in the form of a traditional Yakut dwelling - Urasa. Egor Borisov said that guests and participants of the Third Eastern Economic Forum will be able to learn about the priority projects of the northern republic in the field of transport infrastructure, agro-industrial complex, high technology and energy, familiarize with them on the virtual display and even apply for a "Far Eastern hectare."


projects are priority investment projects of Yakutia at EEF-2017, including "Diamond-mining enterprise in the Verkhne-Munskoye ore field" with a total cost of 65.2 billion rubles. Its launch is scheduled for 2018; the company will produce 3 million tons of ore per year. The design capacity of the project "Tarynsky Enrichment Plant" is 700 thousand tons of ore per year. The plant plans to reach its designed capacity in 2019. In 2019, it is also expected to reach the projected capacity of the project "Construction of the Inaglinsky Mining and Processing Plant,” specializing in coal mining and coal concentrate production. The republic also presents the project "Construction of the Tayozhny Mining and Processing Plant" with a design capacity of up to 3 million tons per year.

In addition, the pavilion presents the ‘Kangalassy’ Industrial Park’ Advanced Development Zone and ‘South Yakutia’ Advanced Development Zone; Sayuri LLC exposes its products - tomatoes and OOO Bige - paints and varnishes.

Layouts of such investment projects are exhibited: construction of a high-tech Zhatai Shipyard on the basis of reconstruction and modernization of the Zhatai Ship Repair and Shipbuilding Plant, Agro-Industrial Park "Pokrovsky" and the construction of a year-round greenhouse complex in Yakutsk.

Within the framework of the general sports program of 3rd Eastern Economic Forum, the International Mas-Wrestling Championship "Cup of the Asia-Pacific countries" will be held for the prizes of the Kolmar Company.

Within the framework of the EEF cultural program, a gala concert of the masters of arts of the republic will be held on the stage of the Primorsky Philharmonic dedicated to the 385th anniversary of Yakutia's integration into the Russian state and the 95th anniversary of the formation of the Yakut ASSR.
