April 18, 2017 the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) held a regular meeting on the implementation of “The City of Smart Agriculture” project with the participation of the Japanese delegation.

The preparation of this project began in October 2016, when a memorandum was signed between the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Japanese JFE Engineering Corporation for "The Citiy of Smart Agriculture" project.

The parties noted the successful implementation of the joint project of the Republic and Japanese partners - a year-round greenhouse complex in the village of Syrdakh, Sayuri, the experience of which in many ways can speed up the implementation of the "Pokrovsky" project.

The project of the Pokrovsky agro-industrial park implies the creation of an industrial greenhouse complex with an area of 2 hectares (1st stage), designed for year-round growing of vegetables and greens with the sale of products on the domestic market and further expansion of activities including livestock, crop production, food and processing industries, etc. The total area of the land plot is 77.8 hectares.

The parties also noted the prospects for cooperation in other areas of the Japanese company's activities, including construction of water treatment plants, garbage incineration plants, pipelines, gas production plants and many others.
