Three major Japanese investors arrived in Yakutia for a series of meetings with potential partners.
Representatives of Hokkaido Corporation and JFE Engineering are working to continue the joint implementation of "City of Smart Agriculture" project, the delegation of "First Wood" JSC held talks with Yakut companies engaged in forestry, the press service of the Ministry of Investment Development and Entrepreneurship of Yakutia reported.
At the conclusion of their business visit, they met with the Minister of Investment Development and Entrepreneurship Anton Safronov and told about the preliminary results of the trip.
"We are implementing our greenhouse project since November 2016. It is currently implemented on a pilot basis in the area of 1000 sq m. This year we are planning to expand and carry out appropriate consultations," - said Mr. Yukio Temma, General Director of Hokkaido Corporation. He admitted that the company is implementing a project for the first time in the region with such low temperatures. But the Japanese investors are convinced that even in the pilot phase the project was a success. "We have analyzed the reasons for which the project has successfully moved - it is easy, in collaboration with partners, as well as the lack of a big time difference between Yakutia and Japan, which allows to hold teleconferences and quickly solve the problem," - commented the head of Hokkaido Corporation.
