The project to create ‘South Yakutia’ Advanced Development Zone will be launched in 2017. All conditions are established for this purpose, said Vice-Premier - Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev in the capital of the Republic.
"The main resident is Kolmar Company. Issues of its participation have been discussed, including the infrastructure and maintenance of the mining operations. In addition, the application was submitted by ‘Aigul’ (specializing in food supply - editor’s note.). List to participate in Advanced Development Zone is open and today about 7-8 companies have expressed their desire to become residents," - said the head of Yakutia Egor Borisov.
According to Il Darkhan, applicants aim at not only production, but also the processing of raw materials. "This is a very important point. Therefore, we will continue to work,"- he said.
Talking about investments, the head of the region said that companies intending to work as residents, plan their own investments themselves.
"In the creation of infrastructure and other issues we enlist the support of the Plenipotentiary Envoy and the Russian government. Today, much has been done - railroads, power lines etc." - Egor Borisov said.
"With regard to investment, ‘South Yakutia’ Advanced Development Zone is at the very start. There are ideas and desires, we can say with certainty that before the snow melts in Yakutia, we will know exactly the parameters of the start of its implementation. Then the Russian government will make the decision. For many years we have been talking, but next year we will begin to develop," - said Presidential Envoy Yuri Trutnev.
