Closing ceremony of Days of Yakutia in Moscow

The capital of Russia hosted the closing ceremony of Days of Yakutia devoted to the 385th anniversary of joining the Russian state, the 95th anniversary of the formation of the Yakut ASSR and the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic.

Opening the ceremony and greeting the guests of Days of Yakutia, the region's government chairman Evgeny Chekin stressed that Russia's largest entity has something to be proud of.

"Today we are completing a large series of events dedicated to three significant dates. These events allow us not only to show the uniqueness of the republic, to demonstrate our own achievements, but also to acquaint with the spiritual commonality of our peoples living in peace in our one homeland, Russia,” said the Prime Minister.

Managing Director of the Foundation for Humanitarian Projects, director of Russia My History historical park (Moscow) Ivan Yesin expressed his gratitude to the head of Yakutia Egor Borisov for his personal contribution to the large-scale project to build a multimedia museum in Yakutsk.

The mystery play "The Way of the Holy Hierarch" directed by Andrei Borisov tells about the life of Aleutian and North American Archbishop Innokenty Veniaminov, Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna.

Through the prism of the life feat of St. Innokenty, a large-scale picture unfolds, telling about the controversial and fateful events of the history of Russia, including the development of Yakutia, which has become an outpost for the development of Siberia and the Far East. The play tells about the significance of the great mission of the Russian Orthodox Church in the development of Yakutia, Siberia, the Far East and Russian America. About 200 performers of the best creative groups of the republic take part in the production of the mystery play.
