Yakutia and China will establish cooperation in the field of publishing literature in national languages. This was discussed at the meeting of the delegation of Heilongjiang Province with the Director General of the Bichik National Book Publishing, Avgust Egorov.
The Chinese partners note that they actively support the production of national literature. So, annually, Korean-language publications receive help from the Heilongjiang government for a million dollars.
Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Yakutia Aleksandr Borisov said that the republic also assists regional publications: "We also support, but in smaller volumes. We allocate within the limits of 15 million rubles for socially significant projects and books of the Bichik National Book Publishing."
Minister of Propaganda and Agitation of Heilongjiang Province Zhang Xiaolin stressed that he sees good prospects for cooperation: "We are here to build bridges of friendship. In Yakutia we have a very busy program, we already see a lot of projects, over which we can work together."
The general director of "Bichik" added that the publishing house is one of the oldest in Russia. "We have a very rich history and traditions. We have been looking for such reliable foreign partners for a long time. After all, China is now one of the most reading countries in the world," Avgust Egorov said.
