Potential new residents of the Far East plan to develop deepwater fishing facilities, to implement environmental projects in the field of alternative energy and industry, to build a grain terminal and a gold mining enterprise, the press service of the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East reports.
19 applications with a total volume of declared investments of 11.6 billion rubles were received last week in JSC Corporation for the Development of the Far East, of which 6 applications - for investment activities at the Advanced development zone and 13 applications - on the territory of the Free Port of Vladivostok.
For example, the creation of a hotel complex for 40 rooms is planned on the territory of the Advanced Development Zone Nadezhdinskaya. The project is submitted by the applicant, who, as a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok, is already building a modern 20-storey residential building with facilities intended for commercial activities. The Advanced development zone Nadezhdinskaya also attracted the applicant, who intends to introduce innovative gas consumption technologies and produce gas equipment.
Two more projects were submitted for consideration by investors who have chosen the Advanced development zone Nikolaevsk for conducting business activities, where it is planned to organize a fishing industry and the construction of a gold mining enterprise at the Polyanka deposit - the site was found in the Khabarovsk Territory in 2014, its reserves exceed 15 tons of precious metal.
The site on the advanced development zone of Komsomolsk was chosen by the applicant to create an enterprise for the processing of milk, poultry meat and canned meat production. The potential resident considers the advanced development zone of Bol’shoi kamen’ as a territory for the location of a modern grain terminal with a capacity of 3.5 million tons, which will be located on the shore of the Ussuri Bay water area at Cape Maximov.
In addition, last week positive decisions were taken with regard to two previously submitted applications. Investors planning to build factories for the production of building metal structures and for the restoration, processing and production of rubber products have become closer to the implementation of their projects on the Kangalassy and Khabarovsk advanced development zones.
Day by day, the development potential of the territory of the Free Port of Vladivostok increases.
The status of residents of the Free Port of Vladivostok expects to receive three investors. They intend to create a trucking company that provides transportation of coal from the fields of the Uglegorsk district of the Sakhalin region to seaports, to build an industrial and technical base for repair, manufacture of units and aggregates of automobile and special equipment and to open mini asphalt plants of low productivity.
Still popular among potential residents of the Free Port of Vladivostok are projects for the construction of a fast-food cafe, parking lots, car parks and warehouse complexes for cargo storage and leasing.
Since the implementation of the federal laws on the zones of advanced development and the Free Port of Vladivostok, JSC Corporation for the Development of the Far East received 905 applications with a total investment of 2.7 trillion rubles and the prospect of creating more than 103 thousand jobs. As of October 9, 2017, 183 companies are residents of the advanced development zone in the Far East, 320 companies were granted the status of a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok.
