On July 27, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Egor Borisov met with President and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia Herman Gref.
During the conversation, issues related to the development of the housing and communal services sector of the Republic and the program for reconstruction of water treatment facilities in the city of Yakutsk were raised. They also spoke about the possibility of implementation of the "Smart City" project in the republic's capital.
Participants discussed various options for cooperation, outlined further steps. The next meeting, at which the parties will return to the consideration of the issues raised, will be held in September during 3rd Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
Today the interaction between the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Sberbank is carried out within the framework of the current agreement on cooperation in the financial and credit sphere and in the field of information and consulting exchange.
In accordance with the agreement, the parties are ready to implement joint investment projects in the interests of infrastructure development and diversification of the economy of Yakutia, support of small and medium-sized businesses, and provision of state and municipal services in electronic form to the population.
